Dr. Rebecca Jorgensen

LCMHC, Certified EFT Trainer & Supervisor
Clinical Director and Supervisor
Providing Sex and Couple Therapy

Dr. Jorgensen has been working with couples for over 20 years. She is a licensed clinical mental health counselor, a trained sex therapist and certified EFT Couple, Individual and Family Therapist and a credentialed supervisor and educator. She maintains a clinical practice at the EFT Counseling and Education Center, where she provides sex and couple therapy and also co-directs the organization and provides supervision and training to students and other professionals.

Through training and experience providing couple, family and sex therapy she has the background to help you with your relationship and sexual issues. The majority of clients in her practice are couples rebuilding emotional and physical intimacy after betrayal or affair. Partners desire discrepancy or other sexual issues (sexual desire, painful sex, inability to orgasm, problematic pornography or sexual behavior, erectile dysfunction), couples fighting or feeling distance, and couples struggling to communicate also find support and change working with her.

Rooted in both clinical excellence and personal connection, Becca brings warmth, clarity, and care to her work with individuals and couples.

Dr. Jorgensen is the Founder and Director of the San Diego Center for EFT, the Training and Research Institute for Emotionally Focused Therapy (TRI EFT) and Building a Lasting Connection®—a relationship program designed to help couples create secure, lasting bonds.

She is internationally recognized for her leadership in Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT). As a pioneer in online and in-person EFT training and supervision, she is best known among therapists for developing widely used learning tools, including the best-selling videos EFT Step by Step and Emotionally Focused Therapy: A Complete Treatment. She has trained thousands of therapists worldwide and continues to offer consultation, advanced workshops, and immersive learning experiences to clinicians seeking mastery in the EFT model. She holds a PhD in Clinical Psychology, with specialized training in trauma, sexual functioning, and leadership. She is married to the love of her life, Max, and together they have thirteen delightful grandchildren.
